District Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for Midland Community Theatre! We have a rich volunteer community with many benefits, along with and many different opportunities to grow pre-existing skills as well as obtain new ones. Simply complete and submit a volunteer application and upon approval you will receive instructions on next steps. Please note that this application is much harder to access on a mobile device so a computer is strongly advised.

It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification card, including your full legal name. It is important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and for future communication. If you are unable to provide an email address, you must come into the Volunteer Coordinator's office at MCT and fill out an application in-person. Please note that you have until the cast list is posted to upload a digital COC signature if we do not already have a paper one on file for you.

There is a chance it will ask you to pay for a criminal background check before submitting an online application. If you see this and it poses a roadblock for you, you must bring yourself and your government issued identification into my office at MCT and we will create your volunteer application in-person on my computer (If this happens to you, it would be wise to handle this BEFORE your audition day. If you choose to wait until you walk into your audition, this WILL eat into your audition time). I cannot accept social security cards with my desk system, only IDs, so if you only have your social security card you must submit an online application. All information collected on the application will remain confidential.

I know this is a new and confusing change. There are many volunteer + screening programs out there in the world and this is the one we're trying this year. If it sticks, you won't have to do it ever again! You can proceed without signing, but if it locks you out later and prevents you from submitting, email your copy to me at carley@mctmidland.org and I will try to get you approved.)
