District Volunteer Application

We appreciate your interest in volunteering for College Community Schools. Our district offers a variety of activities you may choose from when volunteering your time. Simply complete and submit a volunteer application and upon approval, you will receive instructions on the next steps.

At College Community School District, volunteers play a crucial role in the success of our educational programs, helping to bring our motto, “Success For All” to life. Many of our programs, events, and activities thrive because of the dedicated leadership and support from our volunteers. The mission of volunteering at Prairie is to enhance the educational experience of our students. Whether you assist in the classroom, library, or media centers, participate in field trips, support Parent-Teacher Organization events, or help with athletic and music events, your efforts are highly valued and appreciated by the School Board, administration, and staff.

It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government-issued identification card, including your full legal name. It is also important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified of the status of your application and for future communication. If you are unable to provide an email address, you may use the district’s email address. All information collected on the application will remain confidential and not be shared outside the volunteer program.

Applications must be submitted annually and at least 2 business days before you start volunteering with us. As part of the application process, all volunteers will be screened against the national sex offender database and are subject to a criminal background check.

According to School Board Policy 903.02, adopted on 11/20/2017 and last revised on 02/20/2023, College Community Schools encourages ongoing and active volunteer involvement when it enhances the educational experience of Prairie students. Volunteers are defined as individuals who give their time without profiting monetarily and are under the direction of a school employee. Volunteering is not supported for court-mandated community service.
