LEVEL 1 VOLUNTEER - Example: Field Trip Chaperone or Event Helper - May volunteer 1-2 times per year with direct supervision of certificated staff member.
LEVEL 1 DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS: copy of CA Driver's License or CA ID
LEVEL 2 VOLUNTEER - Example: Classroom or On-Site Helper - May volunteer multiple times throughout the year with direct supervision of a certificated staff member.
LEVEL 2 DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS: copy of CA Driver's License or CA ID, copy of TB clearance from health provider
LEVEL 3 VOLUNTEER - Example: Coaches and Overnight Chaperones - May have frequent contact with students without direct supervision of certificated staff.
LEVEL 3 DOCUMENT REQUIREMENTS: copy of CA Driver's License or CA ID, copy of TB clearance from health provider
LEVEL 3 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Livescan fingerprinting is also required before application approval. After your application has been reviewed, a volunteer coordinator will reach out to provide a referral for fingerprinting.
Simply complete and submit a volunteer application and upon approval you will receive instructions on next steps. It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification card including your full legal name. It is important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and for future communication. All information collected on the application will remain confidential and not be shared outside the volunteer program. Any fees associated with TB clearance or fingerprint scanning are the responsibility of the applicant.
