Thank you for your interest in becoming a volunteer for the East Troy Community School District. The School District Board of Education recognizes the valuable services to and for students that can be made by parents and community members as volunteers. The Board encourages the use of tutors and other school volunteers to help bridge the gap between the schools and the East Troy community. These volunteers may assist teachers and other school personnel while under the supervision of a teacher, adviser, coach, supervisor or school principal.
To help ensure the safety of our students and staff, the East Troy Community School District conducts background reference checks for all employees as an initial condition of employment. The Board of Education has determined that this procedure should become a regular administrative practice for any individual who volunteers to work with students. Please be assured that the information provided from the background check will be used strictly for confirming there is not an offense that would be reason to exclude you from working with our students. This information will not be provided to individuals other than a limited number of school officials who have direct responsibility in conducting the background reference. (Per Board policy 881)
It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification card including your full legal name. It is important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and for future communication. If you are unable to provide an email address, you can use the district’s email address. All information collected on the application will remain confidential and not be shared outside the volunteer program.
If you have any questions about the application, please request to speak with a volunteer representative.
Thank you,
