District Volunteer Application

Prospective volunteers are required to complete the Volunteer Orientation as part of the application process. Once you submit your application, please visit the volunteer website and complete the required orientation. Once you complete the orientation, New Caney ISD will have a record of your completion which will be verified before you are issued a volunteer badge.

To efficiently serve our community, we are asking all volunteers to register no later than two weeks prior to their scheduled event. The background check takes 3-5 business days to be processed. You will receive an automated response from donreply@raptortech.com.

Pursuant to Section 22.0835 of the Texas Education Code, NCISD is required to conduct a criminal history review. Board policy GKG allows the district to conduct criminal history checks on all volunteers.

I agree that all the personal information provided is accurate and true.

Hold Harmless Agreement: As a volunteer for New Caney Independent School District, I do hereby assume all risk of injury or death and medical expenses incurred from any injury or death resulting from my volunteer participation, including but not limited to illness, injury or death arising from exposure. I understand, acknowledge, and agree that I am not covered by Workers’ Compensation insurance or benefits provided thereunder and I do hereby release, discharge, and hold harmless New Caney Independent School District, its board members, representatives, and employees, from any and all claims whatsoever, known, or unknown, for damages or injuries to myself.

  • I agree to undergo a criminal background check.
  • I have completed the Volunteer Orientation Training
  • I agree to abide by the Volunteer Handbook
  • I agree to the Code of Ethics
  • I agree to the Code of Civility
  • I agree to the Confidentiality Agreement

Confidentiality Agreement

  • I understand that in providing my services as a volunteer with NCISD, I will respect the confidential nature of the knowledge I will gain concerning the academic performance, behavior, and personal information of the students with whom I work (according to FERPA).
  • If a student tells me something or I notice something that may indicate that he/she is in emotional distress, I will report that information to the principal.
  • If a student tells me something or I notice something that may indicate his/her safety is at risk or they are in imminent danger, I will immediately notify the student’s principal AND adhere to state law, by contacting the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (TDFPS) within 24 to 48 hours at 1-800-252-5400.

I am an applicant for volunteering with the New Caney Independent School District and have been advised that, as part of the application process, the District will conduct a criminal history check. The District has informed me that I have the right to review and challenge any negative information reported, within a reasonable time frame established at the sole discretion of the District.

I hereby authorize any law enforcement agency, including a police department, the Texas Department of Public Safety, and the Texas Department of Corrections, to release to this school district my complete criminal history record. I understand that the District is prohibited by Federal Regulations from providing me with a copy of my DPS criminal history record; however, I further understand that upon my request, the District may quote me data from the report. Thereafter, I have the right to challenge the accuracy of my DPS criminal history record.

I understand the information I am providing about age, sex, and race/ethnicity will not be used to determine eligibility for employment but will be used solely for the purpose of obtaining criminal history record information.

I acknowledge that a Computerized Criminal History (CCH) check will be performed by accessing the Texas Department of Public Safety Secure Website and will be based on the name and DOB identifiers I supply. (This is not a consent form.) Authority for this agency to access an individual's criminal history data may be found in Texas Government Code 411; Subchapter F.

Name-based information is not an exact search and only fingerprint record searches represent the true identification to criminal history, therefore the organization conducting the criminal history check is not allowed to discuss with me any criminal history record information obtained using this method. The agency (New Caney ISD) may request that I have a fingerprint search performed to clear any misidentification based on the result of the name and DOB search. Once this process is completed the information on my fingerprint criminal history record may be discussed with me.

By signing your name you agree to all the above statements. Use the mouse or touch screen to sign.
