Thank you for your interest in volunteering. Keeping our students and staff safe is a top priority. In order to ensure this safety, and in accordance with the Michigan School Safety Legislation and the National Child Protection Act, Grand Ledge Public Schools requires an annual criminal record check be performed through our online system on all volunteers who will accompany and/or supervise students on field trips or who directly volunteer to work with students on a regular basis.
It is imperative that the information you enter on the application matches your government-issued identification card including your full legal name. It is also important you provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and for any future communication.
Grand Ledge Public Schools reserves the right to "approve" or "deny" any volunteer, based upon review of the background check if returned from the system. The determination will be based upon the individual's fitness to have responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of children.
All information collected on the application will remain confidential and not be shared outside the administration of the district. Completing and submitting this form automatically generates the background check and thereby provides your consent to conduct the background check.
