We appreciate your interest in volunteering for Harris County Dept. of Education’s CASE for Kids division. We offer a variety of activities you may choose from as you consider volunteering to support our out-of-school time programs. Simply complete and submit a volunteer application, and upon approval, you will receive instructions on next steps.
Harris County Department of Education is required by Texas Education Code Chapter 22, Subchapter C to review criminal history of applicants, employees, independent contractors, student teachers, and certain volunteers, including AmeriCorps members. The Department will also conduct a national sex offender inquiry, state of residence and state of service checks, and a fingerprint-based FBI check as per the Serve America Act (45 CFR §2540.200 - §2540.207). The information requested below is necessary to comply with the above.
It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification document including your full legal name.
Further, you must provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and you can receive future communication from us. If you are unable to provide a personal email address, you may use our general CASE For Kids email address: casevolunteerinfo@hcde-texas.org.
All information collected on the application will remain confidential and will not be shared outside the volunteer program.
