BiG Volunteer Application

We appreciate your interest in volunteering for Brookwood in Georgetown. Our non-profit program could not exist without the support and assistance of our volunteers. BiG offers a variety of activities you may choose from when volunteering your time. Simply complete and submit a volunteer application and upon approval you will receive instructions on next steps. 

It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification card including your full legal name. It is important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and for future communication. All information collected on the application will remain confidential and not be shared outside the volunteer program.

BiG Shop - Dress Code- wear appropriate clothing, no jeans and an apron provided by BiG.

BiG Cafe - Dress Code - wear appropriate clothing including rubber sole shoes and an apron provided by BiG.

One or more of the volunteer activities you have selected may require you to provide your United States social security number so we can perform a criminal background check. Your social security number will only be used for this purpose, and we do not retain this information.

You acknowledge the risks and potential risks of working with or around chemicals, kitchen tools, machinery, equipment, and various foods. You waive and release forever all claims for damages against BiG, its Board of Directors, Volunteers and/or Employees, and Citizens for all injuries and/or losses you may sustain while participating in the BiG Volunteer program.

You consent to the use and reproduction by BiG of all photographs and any other audio/visual materials taken of you for promotional printed material, educational activities, exhibitions or for any other use for the benefit of the program.

You understand that all information, both written and verbal, regarding clients at BiG and confidential business matters shall always be held in strict confidence.  You understand that a breach of confidentiality is grounds for dismissal and may also result in legal prosecution.
