Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Irving I.S.D. Please complete the volunteer application and submit all information requested*. All personal data submitted by applicants is confidential, and managed through Raptor Technologies’ secure server. Including a personal email address in your application will ensure you are informed once your application is approved. As part of standard school safety practices, all volunteers and visitors to IISD schools must provide a photo ID each time the visit any District facility. For assistance with your volunteer application, please visit the campus where you wish to volunteer.

I understand that Irving ISD is not liable for an accidental injury or illness suffered by me, or a third party as a result of my volunteer activities and I also understand that Irving ISD will not be responsible for any claims made by the third parties as a result of my volunteer activities.

I understand that submitting this volunteer application will not allow me to chaperon field trips unless I have approval from the principal or designee and I also understand that by submitting this volunteer application, I give IISD permission to conduct a criminal background check (CBC) in accordance with IIS"s Board Policy (Legal). "Community Relations--School Volunteer Program."

In connection with your application for volunteer, we may procure a Background Investigative Report and/or Background Report from JD Palatine on you as part of the process of considering your candidacy as a volunteer. In the event that information from the report is utilized in whole or in part in making an adverse decision with regard to your potential volunteer status, before making the adverse decision, we will provide you with a copy of the consumer report and a description in writing of your rights under the federal Fair Credit Reporting Act.

The Fair Credit Reporting Act gives you specific rights in dealing with consumer reporting agencies. You will be given a summary of these rights together with this document.

By your signature below, you hereby authorize us to obtain a consumer report and/or an investigative report about you in order to consider you as a volunteer. The information requested below is being used strictly for a pre-volunteer background screening purposes in order to obtain accurate results. The consumer report may include, but not be limited to, criminal history, verifications of employment and education, and driving records. A credit report detailing personal financial history will only be obtained for permissible purposes in consideration of jobs meeting specific criteria.
