District Volunteer Application

We appreciate your interest in volunteering for Resurrection Christian School. Our district offers a variety of activities you may choose from when volunteering your time. Simply complete and submit a volunteer application and upon approval, you will receive instructions on next steps.  

RCS requires this volunteer application to be filled out each school year.  You will receive an email reminder that your approval expires at the end of the current school year and a new application will need to be received if you choose to volunteer again the next school year.  

It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government-issued identification card including your full legal name. It is important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and for future communication.  All information collected on the application will remain confidential and not be shared outside the volunteer program.

To be able to fully complete this volunteer application, you will need to be on a desktop, laptop, or tablet computer.  You may encounter several errors on a smartphone.

By providing your signature, you are confirming that you have read and agree to abide by the rules and regulations of the terms and conditions of volunteer service in Resurrection Christian School.

Please carefully read each item governing the terms and conditions of volunteer service in Resurrection Christian School.

1. I have accepted the responsibility to be available as indicated on my Volunteer Application (which may be revised from time-to-time as necessary) and if unable to serve as scheduled, I will notify the school office as soon as possible.
2. I understand and agree that I will be subject to the direction and control of the Site Supervisor/Director or Principal of the school, or their designees.
3. I will wear my identification badge at all times when I am volunteering.
4. For every child I interact with or observe as a volunteer, I understand that I am obligated to report any known or suspected child abuse to the teacher, counselor, Site Supervisor/Director or Principal.
5. I will not transport any child at any time in my vehicle, or anyone’s vehicle. I understand and agree that I am not authorized to drive RCS vehicles without training.
6. I WILL NOT contact parent, guardians or emergency contacts.
7.  I will conduct myself in a friendly, courteous manner and not show partiality toward any student.
8. I understand that it is my responsibility to inform the Site Supervisor/Director or Principal of any health/medical issue that may impair my ability to or prevent me from properly carrying out the duties and responsibilities of the volunteer service to which I have been assigned.
9. I understand and agree that I am subject to all applicable RCS policies/ regulations and to all directives from authorized RCS officials.
10. I will never be in a bathroom with a child alone.
11. I will never leave a child/children unsupervised when they are in my care.
12. I will not perform any medical procedures on a child.
13. I understand that there is a call button in every classroom that should be used to contact the office.
14. I understand that I will follow the directions of the classroom teacher during a fire drill, tornado drill, and/or Lock Down.
15. I understand that I may not have a short Parent/Teacher Conference while volunteering in the classroom.
16. I understand that if I am authorized for an overnight field trip, I am not to be alone with a student for any reason.  
17. I understand that if I am authorized for an overnight field trip, I am not to be in the sleeping quarters of the opposite sex for any reason. 
18. I understand that any information regarding children that I am privy to while volunteering is considered confidential and will be kept between myself and the Supervisor/Director or Principal.  

I have read the Volunteer Agreement, have been given the opportunity to ask questions to ensure that I understand them, and agree to abide by their terms.
