AESD Volunteer Application - Welcome!

Future AESD Volunteer,

We appreciate your interest in volunteering at AESD, by volunteering you are making a difference! 

Before you begin the volunteer application process please read all instructions carefully and thoroughly, have the required documents ready to upload:

1. Ensure the information you provide on the application matches your government-issued identification, including full legal name.

2. A copy of your valid ID

3. Complete the Annual Mandated Reporter Training Program. To access the training, click on the following link: https://www.publicschoolworks.com/Portal/Portal.php?di=10840&dia=xptl9

1. (please note: you cannot share emails, every applicant has to have their own email address) 

Allow 35 minutes to an hour for the completion of the application, including the Mandated Reported Training. 

IF IT IS NOT FULLY COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED, THIS APPLICATION WILL NOT BE SAVED.

AESD VOLUNTEER COMMITMENT FORM

Before volunteering, I agree to abide by the following guidelines outlined below:

SAFETY

• Report to the office and check in and out through the Raptor Management System
• Be present with an AESD staff member at all times to ensure the safety of all
  
• Wear my AESD Volunteer Badge at all times while at school sites or district offices
• Dress appropriately - attire must be modest
• Follow the schedule and protocols of the school sites as communicated by admin
• Use designated adult bathroom facilities
• Do not bring others (including children), if they are not processed through the AESD Volunteer Management System
• To bring your own younger children (0-5) please consult with the site administrator

CONFIDENTIALITY

• Allow staff to proceed with their job duties, please do not inquire about school business to respect the privacy of our school community.
• All information is confidential and must not be shared with anyone Treat everyone with respect.
• Use appropriate language and refrain from any physical contact with others
• Personal cell phones cannot be used, taking pictures of others is prohibited

DESIGNATED SPACES

• Volunteers must not be in the classrooms at recess or lunch time while employees are on break to respect the privacy and time of our AESD staff
• Volunteers must not be on the playground or at lunch tables when students are present.

RELEASE OF LIABILITY

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I agree to hold harmless not liable, to not sue, and to release and discharge the Anaheim Elementary School District, and its trustees, administrators, employees, and volunteers (collectively referred to herein as the “District”) in connection with any claims, losses, or expenses for any accident or injury or harm of any kind, resulting directly or indirectly from my participation as a volunteer at a District event, including liability that occurs as a result of travel to and from the event and liability that occurs either on or off District-owned property. If I have prior permission from the site administrator and choose to bring my minor child (0-5) to any District volunteer activity, I am solely responsible for my child and the above release of liability also applies to my child

Signing is verification that the AESD Volunteer Commitment Form has been read and that every effort will be made to adhere to the guidelines listed on this form
