Yellowstone Schools Volunteer Application

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Yellowstone Schools! 

Volunteers play an important role in supporting our scholars, teachers, and school community. All volunteers must complete this application, which includes a criminal background check through Raptor. After your application is submitted and your background check is cleared, the Volunteer Manager will contact you with the next steps based on the volunteer opportunities you selected. Volunteer requirements vary depending on the level of student interaction and the associated responsibilities.

For the best experience, please complete this application on a computer. Please note: All volunteers must complete a background check through Raptor at their own expense. The payment is made during Step 7 of the application process. All volunteer information is kept secure and confidential. 

Important:
The information you enter on your application must exactly match your government-issued ID, including your full legal name.
Please provide a valid email address so we can communicate with you regarding your application status and future updates.
Please note: Background checks are processed through Raptor and may take up to four weeks.

Please note your application will not be approved until you have completed all mandatory steps.

Please note thatvolunteer roles require the submission of your United States Social Security Number (SSN) in order to complete a criminal background check. Your SSN will be used exclusively for this purpose and will not be shared or stored for any other reason.

• If you pay for your own background check, it will be processed through JD Palatine, a secure, web-based background screening service.

• If Yellowstone provides financial assistance for your background check, it will be processed through SureHire. In this case, you will be required to provide the following information over the phone:

  • Social Security Number

  • Driver’s License Number

  • Driver’s License State of Issue

  ⚠️ For your security, please provide this information only over the phone to a Yellowstone Advancement Team member. Do not send your Social Security Number or Driver’s License information by email.
