Midland ISD values its partnerships with families, businesses, higher education institutions and community organizations. We encourage parents, guardians, and patrons of our district to become an active part of the success in our schools by sharing your time and talent as a volunteer. For the protection of our students and staff, we require potential volunteers who will work at any campus to complete the online background check application and review the MISD Volunteer Handbook . The background check application must be done yearly. Your application must be filled out at least 72 hours or more before volunteering or you will not be able to volunteer. Those without an email address or social security number will need to contact the district coordinator for further instructions on filling out the application at (432)240-1371 or email keitha.butler@midlandisd.net .
It is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification card including your full legal name. If you have a middle name please include it on the application. It is important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified as to the status of your application and for future communication from the campus event coordinator. Once you submit your background check you will receive an email letting you know that it has been received by Raptor. Your background check will be processed in 3-5 business days. Once the process is completed you will receive a congratulations email from Raptor stating you are approved. All personal information submitted on the application will remain confidential and managed through Raptor Technologies secure server.
All volunteers are required to complete the online background check yearly. You will receive an email from Raptor 30 days before your year anniversary reminding you to reapply. To advance through the 7 screens of this application, please use the NEXT button in the bottom right corner.
If you have any questions about the application, please call (432) 240-1371 to speak with the District Volunteer Specialist.
Thank you,
District Volunteer Specialist
