We appreciate your interest in volunteering in the Mountain View Whisman School District. This platform will allow you to complete and submit a volunteer application.
Thank you for participating in this process that helps us protect the safety of all students and ensures MVWSD complies with federal and state law (CA AB506).
Before you begin, there are a few items of documentation that you'll want to have on hand before starting the online application.
The ATI number from your fingerprinting/live scan form. For more information about completing this requirement, please click here (For renewals: Please provide the last school year you completed a check or the ATI number.)
A passport-style photo that can be used as your badge photo
Documentation (within the last three years) that shows you have been cleared for tuberculosis. For more information about completing this requirement, please click here (For renewals: TB tests are good for 3 years. Please upload proof in the online application.)
Certificate of completion of mandated report and abuse training (For renewals: training required every two years)
It is important that the information you enter on the application matches your government-issued identification card including your full legal name. It is important that you provide a valid email address so you can be notified about the status of your application and for future volunteer communication. All information collected on the application will remain confidential and not be shared outside MVWSD.
Volunteers receive their badges after all of their paperwork is turned in and the results of their background check have been returned to MVWSD from the Department of Justice. (This can take up to 30 days after the volunteer completes all paperwork and the applicant completes the required annual mandated reporter and abuse training (in compliance with AB 506).
If you have any questions about the application, or documentation, please email volunteers@mvwsd.org
Thank you
