I have accessed the website version or obtained a hard copy of the OVSD Volunteer Handbook. I understand that the policies, rules, and benefits described in it may be subject to change at the sole discretion of the Ocean View School District at any time.
I understand that as an OVSD Tier I volunteer, I may be performing volunteer service on the school campus (before, during and after school in classroom or non-classroom environments), for more than five hours a week, chaperoning a field trip; chaperoning overnight school-sponsored trips; and/or volunteer coaching. I am required to be fingerprinted; checked on the Megan’s Law website; and have a current TB Risk Assessment/examination.
I understand that as an OVSD Tier II volunteer, I will be performing volunteer service on the school campus (before, during and after school in classroom or non-classroom environments),for less than five hours per week, and includes parents who provide service participation hours as outlined by State Preschool requirements. I am required to be checked on the Megan's Law website and have a current TB Risk Assessment/examination.
I am aware that during the course of my volunteering, confidential information may be made available to me. I understand that it is critical that this information not be disseminated within or outside the school community.
I understand that my volunteer services are terminable at will, either by myself or Ocean View School District, regardless of the length of my volunteering.
