Welcome to the Oregon School District!

We are excited you have started the process to become a volunteer in our schools. For the safety and security of our students, staff and community members, all volunteers are required to complete a background check prior to volunteering. To continue please complete the following volunteer application.

Please note, it is very important that the information you enter on the application matches your government issued identification card (i.e. your drivers license or state issued ID card), including your full legal name, and a valid e-mail address. Including your e-mail address will enable you to receive notifications regarding the status of your application. You will also be able to create an account in our online volunteer portal, where you will be able to update contact information and track volunteer hours. If you are unable to provide an email address, please use volunteer@OregonSD.org. All information collected on the application will remain confidential.. By providing your signature, you agree to abide by the School Board’s Policies. You also consent to the Oregon School District conducting a criminal background check as a condition of being approved to volunteer with students. This check includes a review of any pending criminal and traffic charges or convictions. To conduct the background check, the Oregon School District contracts with JD Palatine, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant Street, Suite 4300, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.

You understand that volunteer applications will be denied if the applicant’s conviction record and/or pending charges are related to the ability to safely and effectively work with staff and students, and/or be a good role model to them, or the applicant has been convicted of a felony.
